Destructive Tornado

Jake has been crawling and pulling himself up to a stand for the last two weeks or so. Now that he's completely mobile he can and does get into anything and everything he wants to. His new favorite pasttimes involve anything that shouldn't be touched or played with, including pulling things out of the bathroom garbage can, opening and slamming shut the kitchen drawers, making calls to China on the telephone, pulling DVDs off the shelf, and pulling on any cord he can get his hands on. He is literally a tornado that leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes. I've given up cleaning up after him. What's the point?

Did he really make calls to China?

It just gets more fun from here on out. Isaac likes to put things into the kitchen garbage. I wonder how many missing things he threw away...

Welcome to Motherhood Lisa, you are just starting down a long path of pointless, but necessary cleaning expeditions...

BTW - cute pic of Jacob on the side!

Yep...he's a fast one. Remember to take pictures of the messes he makes. Save them and show him someday what you had to clean up over and over. Then when he's old enough to clean, you can say "I've done enough. It's your turn." Do you know the words to the "clean up" song yet? It will fast become a favorite of yours, as you teach him to clean up after himself. :)

And the crzy thing is...they get even MORE destructive! Angie is 7, and I finally feel like she can actually help, not just "help" with the house, so you only have 6 more years to go! ;)

good luck with your little tornado! I'm still working on keeping Michael(who is 8) from knocking things over and pulling things out of bins and drawers, or just cleaning up after himself. BTW, nice comb-over.
